Threads of Style

A study of an author or a movement, with a closer attention to the materiality, the style and the craft technique of the works. These courses bring art back into its initial process of creation, thus placing the students in the position of the artist developing his concept and vision concretely, one aesthetic decision at a time. Those programmes would also highlight the impact of these stylistic directions into some of their offshoots as new artistic movements, or even across wider cultural and society developments. Such courses may include a creative writing component, in the form of a writing project to be submitted by each student by the end of the term.

Examples :
Writing after the Romantics
Writing Today, after Joyce
Tones and Shades, after Wong Kar-wai
